When temperatures drop, we tend to wrap our kids up in warm layers to help keep them toasty and cozy, but bulky winter coats and car seats can be a very dangerous combination. All that extra fabric can compromise the car seat’s effectiveness and put a child in danger. Car seat straps should be secure to your child’s body, not to their coat.
