How to Change a Toilet Supply Hose [Video]

How to Change a Toilet Hose Video

If you find your toilet water supply line (also known as a “speedway”) leaking, or if you are unsure it was ever installed properly in the first place, it may be time to replace it. Data from Allstate Canada shows that claims made due to water damage caused by faulty toilet hoses are a fairly common occurrence in homes across Canada.

Over time, water supply lines and their connection points (especially those plastic nuts) can deteriorate or crack, leading to an increased risk of the hose leaking or bursting.

The good news is that replacing a toilet hose is easier than you might expect, and can be accomplished in a few easy steps.

Check out this two minute video from our Good to Know Series for a step-by-step demonstration of how toilet water supply hoses are changed.
